Overview
QA Copilot V1 is a browser-based quality-assurance tool created by Ahmed Gamal Gaber. This policy explains what the extension can process, why it is needed, and how users remain in control.
Data processed
When QA Copilot is opened on a supported page, its automatic capture can process API URLs, methods, headers, request and response bodies, status codes, timing information, and console output from the active tested tab.
User-requested tools can also inspect page structure and form metadata, perform accessibility and performance checks, generate local test data, capture screenshots or recordings, replay a selected request, export evidence, and save endpoint definitions.
Purpose and local storage
This information is used only to provide the extension's user-facing quality-assurance and debugging features.
Bounded API and console captures are stored in Chrome session storage. Saved endpoints and preferences use Chrome local storage. Screenshots, recordings, and exports use Chrome's browser and download features. QA Copilot does not operate a remote collection or analytics server.
Sensitive-data protection
QA Copilot redacts common authorization, cookie, token, password, API-key, email, and phone fields before captured data is stored or exported. Sensitive headers are not saved with reusable endpoints.
Because test pages and APIs may contain unexpected information, users should always review captured evidence before copying, exporting, or sharing it.
Sharing and third parties
QA Copilot does not sell user data and does not transmit captured testing data to the developer, advertisers, analytics services, or data brokers.
A replay request is sent only when the user explicitly requests it, to the HTTP or HTTPS endpoint selected by that user. Exported evidence is shared only when the user chooses to save or share it.
Controls and retention
Capture state is visible in the extension. Session captures are bounded and temporary. Reset removes captured session data and saved endpoints after confirmation. Removing the extension clears Chrome-managed extension storage.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
QA Copilot's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Browsing activity and website content are processed only as necessary for the QA inspection features described in the Store listing and inside the extension.
